Acoustic Ecologist In a post-Trump America, with a fascist, nazi-defending, conspiracy-theory-spewing Republican party, Coulture Shock is so cathartic because all of their rhetoric, their hate speech is, at the end of the day, just noise. Not to ignore the power they weild but, to quote The Last Jedi, "We're going to win this war not by fighting what we hate, but saving what we love!" Thank you, Charles. Favorite track: Coulter Shock.

about

Originally released in 2005 and now re-issued, this CD contains selected works composed between 2003-2005.

An exploration of right wing media in the early aughts is combined with more meditative just intonation works. Voices used on the album include George Bush, Anne Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and other right wing pundits who were, at the time, largely off the radar of most Americans.

Unfortunately, this remains timely as an illumination to the forerunners of Trump, who made his discourse mainstream.
